Reaction of benzoylpyruvate with a mixture of aromatic aldehydes and 5-amino-1,3,4-thiadizole-2-thiol
Reactions of benzoylpyruvate with a mixture of aromatic aldehydes and 5-amino-1,3,4-thiadizole-2-thiol in a 1:1:1 molar ratio, afforded 5-(5-aryl-4-benzoyl-3-hydroxy-2-oxo-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrol-1-yl)-1,3,4-thiadizole-2-thiols (3a-c). The structure of the resulted products was confirmed by determination of the melting point and spectrophotometric techniques such as IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy.
متن کاملThe aromatic ene reaction
The ene reaction is a pericyclic process in which an alkene with an allylic hydrogen atom (the ene donor) reacts with a second unsaturated species (the enophile) to form a new product with a transposed π-bond. The aromatic ene reaction, in which the alkene component is embedded in an aromatic ring, has only been reported in a few (four) instances and has proceeded in low yield (≤6%). Here, we s...
متن کاملRoom temperature Stille cross-coupling reaction of unreactive aryl chlorides and heteroaryl chlorides.
Phosphanyl-beta-ketoiminate Pd complexes serve as highly effective catalysts in the Stille coupling reaction of aryl chlorides and heteroaryl chlorides with organostannanes at room temperature.

This review reports some novel (or improved) synthetic methods for preparing a number of aromatic (carbocyclic and predominantly heterocyclic) organomercurials, particularly those derived from theophylline, theobromine and uracil, as well as some novel haloand cyano-demercuration reactions. We have also synthesized the first stable organic derivative of mercury(I), viz. 1,8-bis(acetoxydimercuri...
متن کاملNickel-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of benzylic zinc reagents with aromatic bromides, chlorides and tosylates.
Benzylic zinc reagents prepared by direct insertion of zinc to benzylic chlorides in the presence of LiCl undergo smooth cross-coupling reactions with aromatic chlorides, bromides and tosylates using Ni(acac)(2) and PPh(3) as a catalyst system.
